I need to lose weight?

Hi, i just need some advice on how to lose 18 lbs more effectivly. I’m 6’1 and I weigh 218 lbs currently. A year ago I weighed 276lbs… I started eating less and better since then. I also quit drinking pop(soda). I have a pretty big build, size 14 shoes, kinda muscular but no where near what I want to be. I’m still carrying around some extra baggage that is getting harder and harder to lose and I would really like to weigh around 200lbs. My most recent body fat test said I’m 185lbs muscle, water weight and around 30lbs of fat. Reason why I want to lose the weight mainly is because I want to join the air force and max weight for my height is 208lbs. And I just want to look better of course. Any ideas on how to lose the extra weight? Any foods I can eat that may help speed my metabolism faster than others? Also don’t suggest going to run outside cuz I live in northern Michigan and it is getting freezing outside. Thanks.

    Well you have lost a good amount of weight. Good job. Well not sure how you’re eating but try to go by this guide below if you can. try eating a little healthier, little less. More exercise; this means mainly cardio but also some weight lifting. To burn fat… you need to get your heart rate up. So you need cardio. But with more muscle you can burn more cals. The website will help you a lot more then me. Scooby can show you good workouts for doing at home. Good luck.

    hey… janet here.. hopefully my own personally story can be of some guidance/help to you..

    I’m 5’8 and at the time I was about 220 lbs.. and was trying real hard to lose weight for almost 8 months… i just had a baby girl at the time.. and during my pregnancy i gained a tonnnn of weight and much of it stuck with me after she was born, and the hubby began getting on my case and bothering me non stop about my new weight problem… so after a few months of that, it really started getting to me, plus summer was about to get here- and i love the beach! So i decided to try and do something about it…

    ive since tried almost every diet system out there… the standard eat less-exercise more change lifestyle diet, south beach, atkins, slimfast, weight watchers, etc… I also tried taking many different weight loss supplements.. and overall nothing has really worked well for me….
